Biography of Dina Garipova


Dina Fagimovna Garipova is a Russian singer, winner of the TV show “Golos” in 2012.

Early years

She was born on March 25, 1991 in Tatarstan, in the city of Zelenodolsk. Parents, being doctors and candidates of biological sciences, always encouraged the creative interests of their daughter.

Dina loved to sing from childhood, from the age of six she studied vocal at the Golden Mikro Theater in her native city, after which she toured the country with famous representatives of the theater.

Dina is a prize-winner of many contests and festivals, she was a laureate of the All-Russian competition “Firebird”, the festival “Constellation-Yoldyzlyk”, laureate of the contest in the city of Tartu. I won the main prize at the festival of musicals in Paris.

He works closely with producer Roman Obolensky, who organized several solo concerts of Dina in her hometown. Garipova is a polyglot, therefore the performer has a large repertoire

of songs in different languages. The main genre in which she performs is pop singing, but she also tries her hand at rock genre.

Victory in the talent show “Voice”

December 29, 2012 Dina won the TV show “The Voice”, conducted at the “First Channel”, for her nearly 55% of viewers voted. As a winner of the show, she was given a contract for two years with the possibility of prolongation with the studio of the world-famous recording “Universal”.

The singer receives a lot of positive feedback, both from journalists and from ordinary listeners. Critics call her “Russian Adele”, admiring the range of her voice.

Immediately after the success at Eurovision Dean received a high title “Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan”.

Success at Eurovision Song Contest

In February 2013, it was decided that it was Dina Garipova who would represent Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest. The well-known duo of producers from Sweden, Alares and Bjornberg, wrote the song “What if”, with which Dean performed at the festival.

At the qualifying stage of the contest Dean got the second place, which allowed her to go to the finals of this song tournament.

In the final part of the festival, Dina Garipova scored 174 balls, which brought her fifth place. After that, Dina became famous not only in Russia, but all over the world. Today she continues her creative activity.
