Arkady Strugatsky graduated from the Military Institute of Foreign Languages ​​in Moscow (1949), worked as an editor.
Boris Strugatsky graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Leningrad University, worked at the Pulkovo Observatory.
The brothers started their joint literary activity in 1957.

Arkady Strugatsky died October 12, 1991. Boris Strugatsky lives and works in St. Petersburg.
