From the life of the clouds. A comic miniature about the phenomenon of nature as a living creature

It was a fine May day. Wandering through the sky, I looked into the mirror of the lake and… when I saw my reflection there, I was frightened. What kind of an ugly, terrible, gray rain cloud! But I was so cute light and airy. After a little thought, I decided to correct the situation – to lose weight. Slowly strolled over the wide Ukrainian steppe, choosing a place where to drop the ballast. But the terrain did not appeal to me, and I had to ask a mischievous spring breeze to drive me a little more to the east – there I seem to have seen a small village where there was no rain for a long time. The wind readily agreed, and within a few minutes we are at the destination. I was already preparing to pour rain on the ground, when suddenly, right in the middle of my huge gray mass, I saw a hole through which the sun was curiously glancing, as if he were interested, that now will occur. I did not lose my head, I immediately patched up my wound: podnatuzhilas, tightened the

gap tight damp fog. One became boring to me, and I decided to call my old reliable friends – Lightning and Thunder. They appeared without delay and were ready for the forthcoming work. We paused for a while, waiting for the two rural peasants who saw and heard us to reach the shelter. I felt sad, and teardrops rained down from my eyes, and then it rained so heavily that rural buildings could not be clearly seen from a bird’s eye view. Only the noise of the impatient rain that fell on the ground and the thunder of terrible, rolling thunder could be heard – it seemed that the sky would now fall to the ground. The cracked earth happily accepted the life-giving moisture, the plants that had not drunk delicious rain water for a long time reassured. On the rural roads ran muddy streams – the same water that upset me, burdening me with excess weight. After thoroughly rinsing the earth, getting rid of the bored excess weight and leaving huge puddles that looked like small ponds, I sailed calmly to the side of the river, which could be seen on the horizon.

… I lowered my eyes and saw myself in the blue mirror of the river – still light and airy.
