“Children’s books” composition

With fiction I met in my earliest childhood, when my mother told me a fairy tale about a goldfish at night. I then clearly and clearly imagined it to myself, and, after many years, I hoped that she would also meet me.

After growing up, I came across many books by various authors. Reading fascinated me. I seemed to have discovered an unprecedented world. The variety of stories amazed me. But the most interesting book that captured me and made me worry was the book I read in class 3 for the first time, a collection of short stories by Vera Chaplina “Zoo Pets”, which contains wonderful stories about animals that live in the zoo. And how many amusing and fascinating adventures are happening to them! I liked the book not only for its content, but for its design. For example, instead of the usual illustrations, photos of animals made by Anzhanov are given.

The narrative begins with the author’s address to the children, in which Chaplin talks about his attitude

towards animals: “All my life I loved animals very much, and as long as I can remember, I always brought up nestlings, puppies, rabbits… I liked when I was greeted at home by my open mouths, when forty gray serpents flew from their outstretched hands, and the bunny boldly jumped to my knees… “

All her life Vera Chaplin gave the Moscow zoo. She could stay the night at work, if one of the pets was unwell, could run around the city in search of a runaway monkey, could bring to her communal apartment a newborn baby lion who needs to be fed by the clock. In short, Vera Chaplin was a man possessed and able to convey this obsession to readers. And, everyone – from preschool age and is more senior.

The author has told in the book about the time of her work in the zoo. What interesting animals were there, how they were attached to a man. Everyone had their own habits and character. How hard, for example, was a man to help a sick lion and get to eat a medicine, or how cunning was the monkey Baby, who instantly solved any cunning people. One day she had to be caught to send to another

zoo, and she realized with some inner instinct that the new people who came along with those who looked after the animals hide the plot. And she quickly opened everything up, throwing herself on the hunted dressing-woman, tearing off all her clothes, raising a screech and screaming at the monkey’s aviary. Thus, the monkey in another zoo had to search in another cage. And the story of the Bengal tiger Raji with an unusually beautiful color made me worry and cry. Chaplin fell in love with this tiger for his calm and wise character and strongly attached to it. He took the meat from her hands and rubbed against the cage for a long time as she left. Only it happened that he was changed to another beast and taken to a distant distant zoo. And when Chaplin cried before parting, fiddling with his ears, the tiger also felt as if it was not right and behaved anxiously.

Since then, many tigers have visited the zoo, but none of them looked like Raji. And Vera Chaplin thought that she would never again see his “flexible body with a big scar on his side”, his “huge gray head with amber eyes, always watching people,” his “bared already erased and yellowed fangs.” But fate gave them one more meeting. After many years the narrator was sent on a business trip, where the film with animals was filmed. She was needed as a consultant on the behavior and habits of animals in captivity. And, quite by chance, she was offered to look at their pride – a tiger of “unusual color”, warning that the tiger is old, sick and blind. And when Chaplin approached his cage, she saw her Raji! He was lying in the corner of the cage. It was clear how much he had changed. Wool no longer shone with overflow, as before, his eyes were white and looked somewhere in the void. Her heart sank. Before her was He, her favorite devotee “kitten”. She quietly called him and fell silent, because the tears flowed in streams. But even this whisper was enough. Raji abruptly stood up, transformed, began to drive his head in all directions, as if trying to examine someone. It became clear that many years later, sick and blind, the beast recognized her! She quickly opened the cage, she was shouted that it was impossible to do this, “it’s a tiger!”. But she went to him, put a hand on his head and began stroking. Tiger poked his nose in her palm and tears appeared in his eyes. Between a man and an animal there can be a kind of love that does not often arise between people… her favorite devotee “kitten”. As it is still interesting to watch the zoo pets: they are born on your eyes, growing up, turning from blind, helpless cubs into smart, strong beasts.

I reread this book about animals several times, so it struck me.

When I work with children, I will certainly introduce them to various books about animals, among which will be this, Chaplin’s book “Zoo Pets.”
