The composition of “Kalina”

Kalina. One of the most common of our bushes. Viburnum likes moistened glades and edges, banks of rivers and lakes, cutting down. If you look closely, you will see that on the edges of the inflorescence there are large flowers with five snow-white petals, and in the middle – small creamy or pinkish plain-looking flowers. At first it seems that these are not yet opened buds.

Beautiful flowers are a vapors, they only attract insects, and from plain to autumn fruits grow.

And then again the viburnum attracts the eye: the deciduous foliage has already shriveled and fallen, and the whole bush blazes, on the branches of it there hang clusters of bright red, juicy, transparent.

Berries. They are especially beautiful when snow falls. Later in the fall, after frost, the berries of the viburnum become edible. They have a peculiar bitter-sweet taste. They are willingly flavored by birds.

Fans of the viburnum store it for the winter: dry, prepare the juice. When cooking, viburnum loses its bitterness. Pies with kalina, kalean porridge with honey from the Russian stove are especially good. In a mixture with apples, the viburnum berries go to make marmalade, pastilles. The berries of Kalina are a dietary product.
