Fairy tale about the textbook

My name is the Russian Language Textbook. I have parents who I have never seen, but I’ve heard about them: authors, publishers. I’m not very old and not very young, I served several generations of sixth-graders. Among them were lazy guys who reluctantly opened me. There were some for whom I was a true friend. It’s a pleasure to lie on a polished desk under a table lamp that emits light and heat!

But some time in my life there have been changes. My troubles began when I found a new master. The sixth-grader Vasya Promokashkin often forgot to take me to school with him. He seldom flipped through my pages, that I had little to teach him. Particularly outraged was the respected Noun Name. My ward is all Names Nouns with a basis on sibilant attributed to the third declension. So they demanded a raincoat, a sword, a swift consider them Names of the Nouns of the third declension! But it did not accept them! First, in the third declension, Names are only feminine; secondly, to get there, you need a soft sign. Vasya Promokashkin easily solved the problem: he is all Names Nouns with a basis on hissing began to write with a soft sign! I think one example is enough to express my sympathy. And once I even slept under the open sky. Vasya put a sandwich on me, as though on a plate. The sandwich ate, but I forgot on the bench. Thanks to Lena Penochkina, Vasya’s classmate. In the morning, going to school, she saw me on a bench in the schoolyard. It was easy to guess who my master was. On my cover, Vasya drew a hero and signed his name under it.

I can not wait for the summer holidays. True, it’s boring to stand on the shelf in the summer, but I need to gain strength before the new school year after such a hassle.
