When people ask me about who I would like to be in the future, I have no doubts when answering this question – I want to become a military man. Devote your life to serving your native country and protecting your loved ones, what can be more courageous and nobler? It so happened that all the men in my family were military men. My great-grandfather heroically fought in the Great Patriotic War and was awarded the Order of the Great Red Banner posthumously, my grandfather also conscientiously served his country, and my father voluntarily went into the army, despite the mother’s requests not to do so. Given the experience of my male relatives, it’s a matter of honor for me to become a military man now! When I look at people in uniform, I admire their masculinity, strength and courage. This is how I see myself in the future. I understand that the life of a serviceman is complex and dangerous, and mastering this profession requires endurance, good physical fitness and willpower.
Last summer I was in a military-patriotic camp on Ladoga, where I managed to learn this from personal experience. There we were taught to survive in extreme conditions, to defend ourselves in hand-to-hand combat and to shoot at targets from pneumatic weapons. After returning from the military camp, I became even stronger in my desire to become a military man. During my studies there, I managed to get to know many interesting people and make new friends. In a short time these guys became practically my brothers. I think that approximately the same thing happens on the battlefield, when people become loyal comrades-in-arms.
