In the world there existed and exist absolutely different in character, appearance, social status of people. Smart and stupid, beautiful and lacking in beauty, strong and weak. If we characterize the last group of antonyms, we should remember that we mean the strength or weakness of the human spirit. Weak people rarely achieve something in life, and strong people have strong will, faith in themselves, and therefore success contributes to them.
The fact that the same person can be strong and weak, I am convinced, after reading the story of Eugene Karpov “My name is Ivan.” The protagonist of the work Semen Avdeev duly passed along the roads of war, and at the very end of it the Germans set fire to a tank in which the soldier was a tower shooter. Comrades on the crew were rescued, but how did Semyon get out of the tank, no one saw. But how does Semyon Avdeyev change after leaving the hospital: the blind soldier was confused, did not know where to go.
