Is man a friend?

In our view, nature exists separately from man, somewhere from the outside. And we became accustomed to the idea that mankind conquered nature, put it to its service. People used her gifts, not giving anything in return, without thinking that easy accessibility and apparent inexhaustibility of natural resources – this is perhaps the greatest illusion that humanity could afford. What a pity that we know how to appreciate only what we lose.

The problem of ecology is very acute today throughout the world. With all the diversity of beautiful and correct words about the protection of natural resources, in practice, everything turns out to be quite different. Forests are cut down, poisonous waste that can not be destroyed, accumulated on the surface of the earth, pollution of the atmosphere and hydrosphere by factories and plants has exceeded all permissible norms – and this is only the beginning. The disappearance of many species of plants and animals due to the senseless

destruction of them and the irrational use of land is often irreversible. It’s very scary – to be alone with the troubles that have done, which can not be corrected.

The mass media inform us every day of new sad news, the volume of the Red Book is increasing by leaps and bounds. But the powerful of this world constantly repeat about the allocation of new funds for the protection of nature. Where does this money go?

People on the planet are becoming more and more, they are crowded in cities, and they are exploring new spaces at an incredible pace. And everything goes in a new circle.

Nature is very hard now, she is sick, infected and herself is no longer able to cope with this disease. She needs help and participation, a good friend and a good doctor – a person. A kind person. A wise man. The person who is able to empathize. The person responsible for their actions. I, you, they. We are children of nature, and if we can not stop this slow process of dying, we or our children can remain orphans. How cold and lonely a man without a mother… What desperate despair can mankind sink into a deserted and bare Earth.

To date, there has not been a single branch of human knowledge and economy that has not been associated with the environment and could have developed successfully without knowledge of environmental laws. Therefore, for the sake of preserving our native planet, it is necessary to unite our efforts to find harmonization of relations between human civilization and nature and restore the natural balance.
