Family Library
In our family there is a personal library. It is small, within the capabilities of a standard two-bedroom apartment. It has about 2,5 thousand books. The beginning of the collection of books in our house was put by my grandmother immediately after the end of the Great Patriotic War. She collected Russian and foreign art classics, as well as the best literary works for children – from folk and literary tales to adventure books and artistic autobiographies dedicated to the writers’ childhood, for example, “The Childhood of Bagrov’s Grandson” by S. T. Aksakov. When the father began to replenish the home library, literary critical works and works of literary critics began to arrive, which are good assistants in the comprehension of fiction. Turning to them, we compare our own interpretations of the read with those, which specialists offer. In this regard, we have many reference books and dictionaries, encyclopedias: explanatory, literary, mythological, literary
The main wealth of our library is fiction. Of course, with us is the “Divine Comedy” of Dante Alighieri, the tragedy and comedy of William Shakespeare, the collection of works of foreign classics – O. Balzac, F. Stendhal, C. Dickens, J. B.
