Paris is the capital of France, its economic and cultural center. It is located in the northern part of central France, on the banks of the River Seine. Paris is considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and certainly the most romantic. The city is full of attractions and tourist attractions, including charming architecture, numerous bridges and squares. It has more than 130 museums and 1800 historical sites. Perhaps the most famous and visited attraction is the Eiffel Tower. It is not only a symbol of Paris, but of the whole country. This iron tower was built by the talented engineer Gustav Eiffel, and was part of the 1889 World Exhibition. Another notable place in the city is Notre Dame de Paris. This is a magnificent cathedral, which is located in the historic center of the city. Victor Hugo once wrote a book about this cathedral. Later, several musicals were staged. The Louvre is the largest museum in Paris. Originally, the building of the Louvre served as the residence of the French monarchs. At present, this is the place where thousands of works of art are stored. The most famous object is the portrait of the mysterious Mona Lisa. Those who love French music, probably heard songs about the Champs Elysees. This avenue is one of the most beautiful streets in the world. There are many stylish boutiques, chic restaurants and famous companies. The Arc de Triomphe is the next attraction of Paris. This construction was built by Napoleon in honor of his victories. The red Moulin Rouge mill is also world-famous. This is the best cabaret in Paris. Montmartre is another attraction. This is a special area that is full of artists, actors, pantomimes, writers, poets and other creative people. Tourists can see Picasso’s house here and Dalida Square. And finally, Sacre-Coeur. This is the largest cathedral in France, which is located on the highest point of Paris. People can see the whole of Paris from its observation deck.
