Composition “Modern Youth”
At all times, young people are scolded. The older generation is always confident that young people are much more diluted than they were once, that young people are overwhelmed with laziness, are worse adapted to life and generally grow up in greenhouse conditions.
To some extent, perhaps this is true. But the older generation often forgets what they really were, and how they were scolded by adults, attributing all the same vices as they to us. The conflict of generations is inevitable – it is the truth of life. So it always has been and will be. Seniors try to convey as much as possible of their life experience and resent when young people want to live their minds.
I think the root of this age-old conflict lies in the fact that each new generation lives in different conditions, and they need to adapt. In the world there is no stability, accordingly, it is not entirely correct to apply the norms and canons of past generations. Our grandfathers, for example, started working early, they created a family early. Now it is a long time to study, and to create a family closer to thirty years. Different times require different approaches.
Unchanged at all times is politeness, it adorns any person. Unfortunately, young people often neglect it, for this they get a bad reputation. But time passes, we all gain mind and experience, learn to hear the elders, draw conclusions and gradually come to terms with them. They, in turn, recognize our right to own opinions and to mistakes.
I do not think that today’s young people are so different from previous generations. Simply we were more fortunate: we live in peacetime, we are surrounded by technology, we have more opportunities than our parents had. It is important only to be able to use them. And most importantly – to enjoy the youth. After all, this time, if you believe the elders, is very fleeting.
