Composition “Forest Fire”

Perhaps it is difficult to find an artist, a creator, a sculptor who would not be attracted to the theme of nature. It is from there, from her infinite harmony, from her charm, that it is easiest to draw inspiration. In contrast to the chaotic human life in nature, amid the greenery, amidst the vast meadows, coniferous forests, among the mountains with snow-capped peaks there is no fuss, no abomination, meanness and malice. There is only an element that can be so unpredictable: yesterday, she caressed and unwashed, and now, angry and unchecked, she is ready to destroy everything that meets her on the way.

Of particular interest to nature were, of course, the painters. Beautiful landscapes allowed them to capture the virgin beauty of their reality, to stop the moment and save it in eternity, to give emotions from the admiration of the picture of a previously untouched live world to descendants.

A talented artist who created at the turn of the 19-20 centuries, Alexei Kuzmich

Denisov-Ural, all his life created paintings, which depicted his favorite land. After moving to St. Petersburg, he, in order to emphasize the special affection for his small homeland, adds to the name the toponym “Uralsky”.

The beauty of native nature, which from childhood was observed by the future famous painter, experienced pleasure, capturing a strong and powerful land in all its splendor. However, he was especially interested in the topic of forest fire. He creates in several different pictures of the same name – “Forest Fire”. Cloths differ in style of performance, semantic load and emotional message. The most famous in this series of works is the “Forest Fire” of 1897 – the image of a total all-consuming element. This is a very emotional and monumental canvas, causing a whole vortex of thoughts and feelings. Not for nothing this work was even awarded at the next International Exhibition.

It is believed that since ancient times man, like any other being, attracts fire. He frightens him, and burns him. A person feels the danger of this red flower, but

can not tear his eyes from him. A little later, there will be a well-known saying, what is called, left to the people. According to him, you can endlessly look at three things, and one of them will be a fire. It is this magical charm that the picture “Forest Fire” has. In the flames, painted with amazing realism, you can look, guessing in them ethereal figures – for each different, depending only on the imagination, on the imagination of its contemplator.

The canvas embodies the revelry of the elements. The fire no longer rages only there, somewhere in the distance – it seems as if it is about to spread all around! Looking at the picture, you realize that a domesticated and affectionate home is only a tiny snatch of this raging and terrible force that destroys everything in its path.

Visually, the landscape is divided into two parts – the sky and the earth, separated by the horizon. However, the talented painter skillfully combined these factions, these colossal spaces, placing in these areas an amazingly beautiful realistic pine. The tree, which has not yet reached the fire, stands completely untouched in the optically active zone of the canvas. To her, lonely zhmetsya beautiful in its freshness, a small, but very luxuriant Christmas tree. These “characters” look perfectly alive in their innocence and helplessness. Despite the fact that these are just trees, the viewer involuntarily becomes imbued with compassion for these pure and lush creatures. They seem to understand that they can not escape the terrible fate of being absorbed in fire – and in this detail is the striking dramatic nature of the picture, demonstrating the inevitability of the brutal destruction of the true harmonious beauty of the surrounding world. Perhaps, in this you can consider the allegory of the world, which with amazing persistence destroys a man building factories, laying roads – a man who completely forgot about the need for careful treatment of his Mother Earth.

However, the pine is not the only element that artfully links heaven and earth. In addition Denisov-Uralsky writes clouds of smoke. This thick gray veil absorbs sunlight, and not a single ray, which carries warmth and tenderness to all living things, does not help the unfortunate dying forest, not to break through through the gray mist…

The wind plays with fire, spreading it farther and farther. In comparison with the pillars of fire, the age-old pine trees seem to be just toy. The flame licks their tops, bows and destroys them. It seems that you can distinguish the crackling of dying trees! Sinister unrestrained power eagerly swallows everything around, leaving nothing to the living, no chance of salvation. It is not known what gave rise to this cruel element – but now she, having wandered, is not ready to yield to the man, before the forest. She longs for the destruction of everything that meets her on the way.

Unfortunately, the color of the sky does not promise an early rain, which means that trees that stand exactly like masts on the ship’s deck will only have to accept their fate humbly.

However, despite the danger, fire has a purifying power. Let the fine forest now burn out, but these burnt trunks, which eventually become ashes, will become the soil for new trees. On the site of the conflagration new trunks will grow, stronger than before, more beautiful. And in the place of the tragedy that once took place, a new life will arise after years.
