What is pity?

In the composition there are references to the story of A. Likhanov “Labyrinth”.

Option 1

Pity is a feeling that you feel for someone who is in a difficult situation, something offended or hurt. To feel sorry means to feel compassion, to feel the desire to help someone who is in trouble.

Pity, which is not supported by any action, is more characteristic of children. Adults in most cases take active action.

This difference between the child’s pity and the pity of an adult is shown in the story of Tolick and Temka. Tolik admits that after the fire he “remained the same boy as he was, and Temka immediately became an adult.”

Temkino grew up because he regretted the chickens not in words, “as often happens, but in fact.”

I believe that my younger brother also became more mature when on the eve of the last year of the New Year he decided to give his favorite toy, the railway, to the orphanage. So he pitied

and supported the children left without parents: “I have already managed to play it, but this game will bring a lot of joy.”

Pity is a good feeling, but best of all, if actions are paired with her! This conclusion I can make from the read.

Option 2

I think that pity is the same as compassion, empathy. Pity can induce a person to provide support or help to the victim.

That’s exactly what happens in the story about a boy named Temka. The pity for the chickens, who could suffer from the fire, aroused his courage. He did not escape from the hut away from the fire, but rescued the chicks and “hid them in his bosom.” When Temko was put on a stretcher, he tried to lie down so as not to crush the chickens.

The French writer Pierre Corneille belongs to the phrase: “Ponies are high in pity”. This means that this feeling is most often familiar to people magnanimous, strong, kind.

And, I think, pity, especially reinforced by actions, is a manifestation of spiritual strength and compassion.

Option 3

Pity is the ability to treat another person

or to any living being with understanding, the ability to express sympathy and care to him. This feeling is best manifested in actions.

Thus, in the text of A. Likhanov, Temka rushed out of pity to save chickens, although he himself risked his life.

This same feeling was the beginning of the friendship of the dog and clown of Mr. Georges in the story of A. P. Chekhov “Kashtanka.” The clown regretted Kashtanka when she, exhausted, fell asleep at the entrance door, and took him to her.

I believe that pity is a good quality, it distinguishes kind, merciful people who are always ready to help.
