Interesting day
The Sunday was wonderful. I did all the lessons on Saturday, so all the Sunday was mine!
In the morning I called my friend Vasily and chatted with him about various important things for half an hour. Then he began to dress – to prepare for a trip to visit our kindred uncles Sergei and Aunt Valya. About this trip my father told us for a week. They are really wonderful people, so the whole family was waiting for Sunday with impatience.
All day and half the evening I spent with my parents on a visit. It was awesome. Uncle Sergei recently visited Africa, he went there on a business trip. He took a digital video camera with him and recorded several tapes.
For a whole week, in the evenings, he mounted a film with six four-hour cassettes with his comments and credits, and we were invited to watch and evaluate this work.
The three-hour movie looked one breath: wild animals, savannah, amazing, almost wild people, hotels, streets and markets of African cities – all this could not leave anyone indifferent!
Then Uncle Sergei showed me the souvenirs he brought back from Africa and gave us a few things. I was happy to consider my gift – a real mask of one African tribe – stroking its rough surface and imagining myself in the savannah. I’m riding in a jeep and looking at the beauty around me…
I went to bed reluctantly, but looked at the mask hanging on the wall next to the headboard, and quickly fell asleep. I dreamed the most wonderful dreams that night.
