Childhood war-scorched composition

Every year, in the spring, when the birds sing joyfully and the lilacs blossom, the holy day for our Motherland-Victory Day-comes. We remember those who did not spare themselves in the name of victory over the fascist invaders, we remember the heroes – living and fallen.

In the Great Patriotic War, not only adults, but also children participated. They were my peers, and a little older or slightly younger. The life of children during the war years was harsh, especially those who took part in hostilities, helping adults in the underground on the territory and partisan detachments. The motherland celebrated the feats of the children with the highest award, conferring on them the title of Hero of the Soviet Union. These are the pioneers – the heroes of Valya Kotik, Zina Portnov, Lenya Golikov, Marat Kazey, Borya Tsarikov, Volodya Dubinin. Many of them did not live to see the Victory, they did not recognize the adult life, but they were told about in books, films were made.

An

outstanding Russian writer Valentin Petrovich Kataev created many works for children. The most famous of them is the story “The Son of the Regiment”.

The story “The son of the regiment” brings us back to the difficult but heroic events of the war years, of which we now know from books and textbooks. Reading this book, you, as if involuntarily, become a participant in the events.

I learned about the fate of a simple peasant boy Vanya Solntseva. The war took from him everything: relatives, home, childhood. He had to go through many trials. The adult military people surrounding Vanya helped him to become not only a brave scout, but also a man with a capital letter.

The story shows the incompatibility of the concepts of war and childhood. Childhood is the beginning of life, joy, and war is fear, violence, mortal danger. Adult fighters, soldiers understand this, therefore, feeding and heating Vanya, send him to the rear. He again runs to the front and gets to the artillerymen. For Captain Enakiev, Vanya became a real son. And as Vanya did not resist, he was sent from

the front to a peaceful life. He entered the Suvorov School, where there were basically the same boys as he who knew about the war firsthand.

The Great Patriotic War brought much grief to our country. She ruined hundreds of cities and villages. Destroyed millions of people. I deprived thousands of parents. This was one of the most terrible wars in the history of our country. You can not forget about this! Today, the world is unsettled, and even small wars, called “armed conflicts”, bring people a terrible grief, families are destroyed, children are orphaned, disabled, and their souls are crippled.

Books about the war help to see and understand the depth of another’s grief, at least a little to survive it, to remember those who died during the Great Patriotic War.

R. Rozhdestvensky wrote a poem, with lines from him I want to finish my narrative.

Remember! Centuries later, in a year, remember!

About those who will never come again, remember!

People! As long as the hearts are knocking, remember!

How much happiness has been won – remember!

Tell your children about them to remember!

Tell the children of the children about them, so they will remember it too!
