Life and work of B. Sh. Okudzhava in dates and facts
1924, May 9 – the birth of a poet in Moscow on the old Arbat.
1937 – Father was accused of “Trotskyism” and shot, his mother sent into exile.
1940 – moving to Tbilisi.
1941-1945 – leaving a volunteer for the front, participating in military events in the beginning mortar, and then the radio operator of heavy artillery.
1945 – demobilization after injury, ending with external high school.
1945-1950 – studying at the Faculty of Philology of Tbilisi University.
1950-1955 – work as a teacher of Russian language and literature in the Kaluga region, and then in Kaluga.
1954 – the release of the first poetry collection “Lyrics”. Moving to Moscow, working as an editor at the publishing house “Young Guard”.
1957-1958 – the first performance under his own accompaniment of songs of his own composition.
1960-1996 – literary work. Creation and production of poetry collections: “Islands”, “Cheerful drummer”, “Martial magnanimous”, “Arbat, my Arbat”, “Poems”, “Dedicated to you”, “Favorites”, “Grace of Fate”, “Waiting Room” and other
1991 – awarding the Order of Friendship of Peoples, the Medal of the Soviet Peace Fund, the USSR State Prize for the collection “Dedicated to You”.
1997, June 12 – the death of Bulat Okudzhava in Paris. He was buried in Moscow at the Vagankovskoye cemetery.
