Biography of Sergei Mikhalkov

Sergei Vladimirovich Mikhalkov – writer, poet, playwright, chairman of the Writers’ Union of Russia, author of USSR hymns, politician.


Sergei Mikhalkov was born on March 13, 1913 in Moscow. His family had noble roots. In addition to Sergei in the family were brought up two more boys: Michael, Alexander. Personal life

The writer and poet were married twice. The first wife of Sergei Mikhalkov was Natalia Konchalovskaya. With her, Sergei lived 53 years. Only nine years after her death he married again, on Julia Subbotina. Children of Sergei Mikhalkov from his first marriage: famous filmmakers Nikita Mikhalkov, Andrei Mikhalkov-Konchalovsky.
