Early years
Actress and producer Sarah Jessica Parker was born March 25, 1965 in Nelsonville, Ohio. The fourth of eight children in the family, Sarah grew up in poverty.
After the parents’ divorce, the children were brought up by their mother, schoolteacher, and, often unemployed, stepfather. Sarah from an early age helped the family, making money by dancing and singing at parties.
Early career
In 1976, when Sarah got her first role on Broadway in the production of The Innocent, her family moved to New Jersey to promote the girl’s career. The next few years, Parker, along with four of his brothers and sisters, toured with the performance “Sound of Music.” The first big breakthrough happens in 1979-1980, when Sarah gets the main role of Annie on Broadway.
Educated
In 1982, Parker appears before the television audience in the role of a cute eccentric in the sitcom “Not at ease.” Soon after this new wave of popularity brings her a secondary role in the well-known 1984 film “The Free.” Next year, Parker will play in the tape “Girls Want to Have Fun” along with the young Helen Hunt. In 1998, Parker received the main role of New York journalist Carrie Bradshaw, the leading column about sex, in the TV series “NVO” “Sex and the City.” The show, which tells the story of the life of four friends from Manhattan, is gaining popularity both among viewers and critics. In October, a couple is born a son, James Wilkie Broderick, named after the late father Matthew. In 2009, Sarah and Matthew resort to the services of a surrogate mother, and twin girls, Marion Loretta and Tabitha Hodge are born.
