(born 1937)
Makanin Vladimir Semenovich (born 1937), a prose writer.
Was born on March 13 in Orsk. After graduation, he entered the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics in Moscow State University in 1954, he spent nearly 10 years “wandering” in labyrinths of higher mathematics.
The literary debut of Makanin was the novel “Straight Line”, appeared in the journal “Moscow” in 1965. He graduated from the Higher Courses of Scriptwriters and Directors. He became a professional writer, wrote and published a lot. In the 1970s his works were published: “Fatherless”, “Soldier and Soldier”, “Simple Line”, “Otdushina”, “Klyucharev and Alimushkin”, etc.
In the 1980s, the novels “Blue and Red”, “Forerunner” , “Lazy”, “Where the sky met the hills,” “Loss”, etc.
In 1991, he published his stories and stories under the general title “Laz” in the “New World”, as well as a book of novels “Portrait and Around” and “One and One.”
