The problem of choosing a profession

The right choice of life path brings great moral satisfaction, as a person gets the opportunity for greater self-realization, because only in a loved one can you achieve really significant success. And besides, doing the work for which you were born, you can bring great benefits to people. There is a legend about “embers of calling.”

Each of us has his own “coal of calling.” And, if this coal has got to the wrong person, for which it is intended, it will only fester all his life, or even completely go out. So, in the story of Eugenia Veltistov’s “Adventures of Electronics” Seryozhka Syroezhkin painfully ponders what attracts him in life most: digging Scythian mounds, solving ancient parchments, mathematics, cars or something else. The person who ponders the choice of the future profession, the hero compares with Ilya Muromets, who stands at the crossroads of three roads. And although Sergei has not yet decided on the choice of life path, he alone knows firmly that in this choice the most important is not to be mistaken.

The hero of the story by Evgeny Grishkovets “Darwin” has not yet decided on the choice of profession, but he, like Seryozhka Syroezhkin, is convinced that the profession must certainly bring joy. It was the lack of “hope for joy” that led him to think not to enter the institute of culture, because in the performance played by students, he saw “the unnecessaryness of what is happening.” And for the hero, the importance of the matter and the enthusiasm for it are especially important. It is in order to engage in the necessary, interesting, bringing moral satisfaction, and is for the hero “real life”.
