Painting Fedotov “Anchor still anchor”
Fedotov portrayed in his painting “Anchor, still an anchor!” a vacationing officer.
He lies on a couch in a small house.
Perhaps this is his home and he, having returned from work, and having supper, decided to rest.
The supper is talked about with the remains of food and a mug on the table covered with a tablecloth.
The table stands near a small window, and in it another house is seen.
In its windows, the light is also on, and the roof is covered with snow.
Hence, the action depicted in the picture took place in the winter at night.
A room with a low ceiling is lit by one candle, which illuminates the walls with a yellow warm light.
In the light of a candle, you can see that clothes hang on the left wall.
On the same wall is the washbasin.
On the right wall, too, something weighs, but the items can not be distinguished.
The only thing you can learn is the jar.
The officer can not see either
His whole appearance is somehow blurred.
Next to the man, near the wall, lies the guitar on his side.
Probably, the officer decided to play guitar after dinner, and when he was bored, decided to have fun with the dog.
He forces her to jump over the stick and, apparently, shouts to her: “Anchor, still Anchor!”.
The dog is already tired, but continues to obey the master and carry out his command.
What’s the point in this team? Yes, no.
Just a person has nothing to do, so he’s looking for at least some fun.
He lives, it seems, alone, so it’s necessary to spend cold winter evenings alone.
So the person is looking for an occupation to at least somehow kill time.
Therefore, in a gloomy room, there seems to be a melancholy, sadness and despair.
How many such people in this village, and all over the world? And only a dog, a true friend, supports in a difficult moment and does not allow you to go mad from loneliness.
Despite the warm light of the candle, the picture is filled with sadness, hopelessness and a feeling of deep loneliness.
