Kharkov is a large industrial and cultural center of Ukraine. I am happy that I live in this city, where there are many museums, theaters, where many interesting people live: scientists, writers, artists. Recently, Kharkov poet Yury Ivanovich Stadnichenko visited our class. This poet’s friendship with the students of our school has been going on for decades. The poet likes to communicate with young people, and we, the students, like hearing a verse in his performance. Yu Stadnichenko is a writer-patriot who does a great job with young people, cares about the Ukrainian word, which is worried about the future of our country. The poet asks himself and his fellow countrymen: “Do not worry unceasingly” How in life has it already been Who will leave Ukraine And the native word and village? Therefore, the speech about universal human values, about the education of the patriot person permeates the entire work of the poet. The poet-Kharkov writer can not write about his city. I am very much concerned about the poetry in which Kharkov and its streets are sung. I particularly like the poem “Spring Kharkov”: When spring comes to our city, the heart does not worry the excited. I’m walking around the city – it’s time for magic! I’m going to Sumskaya, I’m going noisy Sumska. My classmates and I sat quietly, holding our breath, because the familiar names of the streets of our native city sounded in the verses, the feelings that were close to us were expressed. I am convinced that this meeting will be remembered for our whole life.
