Briefly about Timur
Timur was born into the family of a Mongolian nobleman. He grew up brave and strong warrior. At the age of 26, due to injury, he became a cripple: his right leg did not bend at the knee, and his arm – at the elbow. Since then, Timur was called the “Iron Lame” – Tamerlane. Tamerlane had to rely not on his strength, but on wisdom and endurance. In 1370 he became the ruler of Central Asia.
Timur grew up in a situation of brutal internecine struggle – a real “war of all against all,” and therefore believed that “the whole world is not worthy to have two rulers.” First of all, he won those peoples who were not able to restore political order. In the military whirlpool at random did not rush, first carefully studied his prey. The army let it go only when there was an extreme need for it. Guided by the rule: “Brave warrior will destroy ten, wise – a whole army.” The prisoners were sometimes released to freedom, traitors despised, was not vindictive. He was fabulously rich, but he lived modestly.
