Shatrov Nikolay (1929 – 1977). Son of Arbat homeopath Mihin, who died in 1942 in Tbilisi. Father replaced his stepfather – the artist. Mother is an artist. One time he lived in Semipalatinsk, where he studied at the local pedagogical institute. In Semipalatinsk, he brought the first verses to the newspaper “Priirtyshskaya Pravda”, but instead of publishing them the newspaper placed a devastating article accusing the young poet of lack of ideology. Later he studied for a while at the journalism department of the Kazakh University. From Kazakhstan, the poet then moved to the Urals. Boris Pasternak helped to move to Moscow. In the capital, Shatrov tried to complete his education at the journalism department of Moscow State University, but something did not work out.
