Quentin Tarantino – film director, producer, screenwriter, actor, owner of the most prestigious in the film industry awards: “Oscar”, “Golden Palm Branch”, “Golden Globe”.

Quentin Tarantino was born on March 27, 1963 in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. His parents were not painted. At birth in the biography of Quentin Tarantino was given the name Quintus. Later it was changed to Quentin. The childhood of the future film star was held in Los Angeles.

Already in adolescence, his love of cinema was manifested. Quentin began to go on acting courses, and also tried himself to write scripts for films. Leaving school, I found a job also in my interests – at the point of renting video cassettes.

The first officially released film on the Tarantino scenario is the movie “Mad Dogs”. But even before that, Quentin worked on the script “Birthday of my best friend.” This film by Quentin Tarantino was never finished.

“Mad Dogs” though it was cruel in some moments, received high marks from film critics.

Real success, world recognition were obtained by Tarantino after the release of the film “Pulp Fiction” in 1994. It was played by talented actors: Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, John Travolta. The following year Tarantino took part in a joint work with three more directors: Ellison Anders, Robert Rodriguez, Alexander Rockwell. It was from that time that the fruitful collaboration between Rodriguez and Tarantino began. And a year later Quentin appeared in the tape “From Dusk Till Dawn” as an actor. The screenwriter was made by Tarantino himself, and directed by Rodriguez. In 1997, the filmography of Quentin Tarantino was replenished due to the tape “Jackie Brown.”

The next work of the director was the film “Kill Bill.” In it, again, Uma Thurman, who Tarantino considered his muse from the time of filming the first film with her, again appeared. The second part of “Kill Bill” was released in 2004.

Then, thanks to the joint work of Tarantino and Rodriguez,

the film “Grindhouse” appeared in 2007. The film did not raise a lot of money, but was positively evaluated by critics. There was a split version of the tape: “Proof of Death”, “The Planet of Fear”.

At the Cannes Film Festival in May 2009, the following work was presented: Inglourious Basterds, an idea that Tarantino created in 2001.

The films of Quentin Tarantino are distinguished by a peculiar style. So they often encounter violence, mention of popular among the population of cultures. The plot is unpredictable, nonlinear.
