Biography of Landon Donovan


Landon Donovan – footballer, was born on March 2, 1982 in the city of Ontario, California. Best known as the center player of “Los Angeles Galaxy”.

By the age of 24 in his biography Landon Donovan had played in two world cups, won three titles in the Main Football League, and was also named three times player of the year in the USA. An unusually fast football player with a sense of how best to accomplish the goal, Donovan was considered a sport phenomenon. He was elected to the US national team in 1999 at the age of 17. The same year, Landon signed a contract with the German club Bayer Leverkusen. Then he returned to the United States again, and from 2001 to 2004, he played for San Jose Ertquakes. In 2001, 2003 Donovan helped the team win the title of the champion of the Main Football League. In 2005, the athlete began to play for the “Los Angeles Galaxy”, in the same year the team won the championship title of the main league.

For the first time in his biography, Landon Donovan gained wide popularity in 2002. Then he, along with the US national team reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup. And in 2006 Donovan was the most popular player of the national team in the world championship.

Additional information: Donovan has a twin sister named Tristan. On the inside of the left wrist athlete is a tattoo in the form of a hummingbird. Landon Donovan in 2005 was engaged to actress Bianca Kailich. She starred in television shows “Dawson’s Cove”, “Boston Public”, also in the movie “Halloween: Resurrection.”
