Biography of Hakim Olajuwon


Hakim Olajuwon is an African American basketball player, was born in Lagos, Nigeria.

Acquaintance of Hakim Oljjuvon with basketball has occurred at the age of 15 years. Even then, the athlete was 206 cm tall. Soon he became the center player of the national team of Nigeria. In 1981-84 he studied at the University of Houston. There he thrice brought his basketball team to the “Final Four” of the National Student Athletic Association.

Playing for the team “Houston Rockets”, Hakim formed the duo “Twin Towers” with another high basketball player – Ralph Sampson. Gradually Oladzhiwon began to show himself as the best NBA player. The “dream” to become an American citizen was realized in 1993. In 1994, 1995, Oladzhiuvon led the “Rockets” to the title of the NBA champions.
