Biography of Chris Dickerson
Chris Dickerson is an American bodybuilder, winner of “Mr. Olympia” in 1982.
Chris was born on August 25, 1939 in Montgomery, Alabama. In the beginning of his biography, Chris Dickerson dreamed of becoming an opera singer, so he devoted all time to music. In the gym came to strengthen the lungs. Unexpectedly, the sports career stretched out for more than 30 years. For the first time he appeared at the bodybuilding competitions in 1965, becoming the third at the contest “Mr. Long Beach”.
Biography of Chris Dickerson is known not just as an African-American winner, “Mr. America”, but also the most elderly “Mr. Olympia.” When Chris took first place in the competition “Mr. Olympia”, he was 43 years old. It happened in 1982.
In addition, Dickerson is one of the most titled bodybuilders. He wears many titles thanks to numerous victories. For example, he became the first on “Mr. New York”, “Mr. East America”, “Mr. California”, “Mr. USA”, “Mr. America”. Also among his victories – “Mr. Universe”, Grand prix of New York, Miami, California and many others.
In 2000, another important event came for Chris Dickerson. He was elected to the Hall of Fame of the International Federation of Bodybuilding.
