Biography of Vyacheslav Tikhonov


Vyacheslav Vasilyevich Tikhonov is an actor, People’s Artist of the USSR.

Vyacheslav was born on February 8, 1928 in Pavlovsky Posad. At the age of 13, he entered the curriculum at the vocational school, and after his graduation began to work in the specialty at the plant.

Even then, in the biography of Vyacheslav Tikhonov, a dream arose to become an actor. But contrary to his desire, at the behest of his parents, he went to study at the Automechanical Institute. However, in 1945 he decided to enter VGIK. At first the contest did not pass, then, by a lucky coincidence, he began to study.

Actor’s debut in the biography of Tikhonov took place in the student years – in the film “Young Guard.” Also during his studies he married Nonna Mordyukova. He began to work in the theater-actor’s theater.

For a long time Tikhonov did not receive any worthy roles in films. But he managed to prove himself brilliantly in the theater. Fame and great popularity appeared in the biography of Vyacheslav Tikhonov after the film “It was in Penkovo.” Then came the well-known films “Extraordinary incident”, “May stars”, “Two lives” and others.

Tikhonov managed to fully reveal his acting talent during the filming of the film “War and Peace.” Also one of Tikhonov’s most famous films are “We’ll Live To Monday”, the series “Seventeen Moments of Spring”. In 1974 he received the title of People’s Artist of the USSR.
