Biography of Sheikh Mohammed
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum became prime minister and vice-president of the United Arab Emirates in 2006. His goal is to make the UAE an attractive place to do business.
General information
He was born on July 22, 1949. In 2006, he became prime minister and vice-president of the UAE. He studied at Bell’s language school. Became the ruler of Dubai by right of succession in 1995. His goal is to make the UAE a “green” and attractive place to do business. Participated in the construction of the Palm Islands, the Burj Al Arab Hotel, the Burj Khalifa skyscraper. Established the World Cup in Dubai in horse racing and created the stables of Godolphin. Has 16 children.
Biography
The Prime Minister and Vice-President of the United Arab Emirates, as well as the head of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed was born in 1949, the third of four sons. He studied at home before entering the university. He graduated from Bell’s Language School at Cambridge
Thus, he participated in the construction of the Palm Islands, the Burj Al-Arab hotel, the Burj Khalifa skyscraper, and also established the World Cup for horse racing in Dubai and created the stables of Godolphin.
Known as a poet, Shaykh Mohammed has always been interested in poetry, especially the poetry of Nabati, which originated in the same places from where the Sheikh came from. Among his hobbies are hunting, shooting, horse racing, and camel racing.
With a fortune of more than $ 4 billion, Sheikh Mohammed does not spare money for charity, for example, cultural literacy and education.
After the death of his elder brother in 2006, Sheikh Mohammed became the ruler of Dubai, as well as the prime minister and vice president of the UAE.
Shaykh Mohammed, known for many emigrants as Sheikh Mo, first married in 1979. His wife was Sheikha Hind Bint Maktoum bin Yuma Al Maktoum. His second wife was Princess Haya bint al-Hussein, daughter of Hussein of Jordan. Shaykh Mohammed has 16 children.
