The composition of Deineka’s painting “Winter: A Girl by the Window”

The dark background of the room should direct our attention to the figure of the girl, frozen at the window. Outside the window are the trees that the sorceress-winter has decorated. The hoar frosts on the branches, and the silence of the winter night is heard.

Deineka Aleksandr Aleksandrovich was born in the family of a railway worker in 1899 on May 20, according to a new style. (May 8, old) Taking a great interest in both technique and art, he successfully combines his studies in the railway school in the city of Kursk and in the art studio. He wholeheartedly accepted the October Revolution and became its painter.

Even serving in the Red Army, he uses methods of art to intensify the propaganda of the revolution. For his long and fruitful activities, Deineka created many works in which he reflected the diversity of the life of his people. One of the famous paintings is his painting Winter, a girl by the window.

The picture is striking in the meanness of exemplary artistic means and its expressiveness. The dark background of the room should direct our attention to the figure of the girl, frozen at the window. Outside the window are the trees that the sorceress-winter has decorated. The hoar frosts on the branches, and the silence of the winter night is heard. The girl looks at the shop, which is visible in the window, in the third plan.

Maybe she remembers how she talked there in the summer with her friends? From the radiator hears a warmth and a cat sleeps on a stool, which is quite happy with his life. In the left corner of the picture, the artist painted curtains, which were written in sparse, well-adjusted strokes. In general, the picture attracts attention and leaves a good impression.
