Summary Steadfast Tin Soldier

G. H. Andersen
Steadfast Tin Soldier
A small boy was presented with 25 tin soldiers in a box. One of them did not have a foot – evidently, there was not enough tin. On the first day he saw a beautiful toy castle, and in it – a beautiful dancer, who stood on one leg. It was love! But the evil troll, living in a snuffbox, decided that the soldier was not a couple so beautiful… In the morning the soldier was put on the window, where he fell to the street, where he was never found. Two boys were allowed to float on a paper boat. Under the bridge of the sailor the water rat tried to catch up. After the crash on the waterfall, where the water fell into a wide channel, the soldier swallowed the fish, which was then on the cook’s table in the same house, from the window of which the soldier fell on that memorable morning. There was still on one leg his love. Suddenly a little boy threw a soldier into the oven, The draft was brought to the dancer. In the morning the maid found in a furnace ash a piece of tin in the form of a heart and a burnt brooch.
