Summary “Schoolboy”

“Well, let’s go, for God’s sake!”

Sky, fir and sand –

Hey! sit down to me, my friend!

So the driver invites the schoolchildren to drive him to the school, which is often far from a small village, in a large village. Then the author gives a description of the one who rushed for knowledge.

Legs barefoot, dirty body,

And barely covered chest…

Do not be ashamed! What’s the matter?

This is a many glorious way.

Here, the fellow traveler himself, seeing a book in a knapsack, is convinced that the boy is following knowledge. And the schoolboy’s father, understanding the importance of teaching, spent the last penny on his son. The old dyachikha gave a quarter to the boy. He handed her to the gulls passing the merchant.

Here the traveling companion asks a question that the boy can be from the household (for serfdom, the mongrel is domestic servant in the landlord’s house). The owners

had the right to release their yard people. Therefore, the fellow traveler seems to console him, that he will not be lost, although now he is not at the master’s court.

Or maybe you’re a yard

Of the released. Well!

The case is also not new –

Do not be shy, you will not be lost!

All the difficulties overcome in order to get to school and gain knowledge will soon be repaid. After all, only there the student can understand that a simple peasant can be reasonable and majestic due to his knowledge and with the help of God’s will.

Soon you will learn at school,

As an Arkhangelsk peasant He became reasonable and great by his and God’s will.

Probably, after leaving school somehow the former schoolboy will reach Moscow. And there will be a great opportunity to make a dream come true – to study at the university.

Not without kind souls in the world – Someone will take to Moscow,

You will be at the university –

The dream will come true!

And the knowledge gained over the years at the university will

open the way for the young man to a new world. You just need not be lazy and constantly work. And only a Russian man, in the opinion of a fellow traveler, has such a unique ability to work constantly. This hero admires. Only native Russia is capable of giving birth to such people.

There’s a wide field:

Know work and do not be afraid…

That’s why I love you deeply, dear Rus!

And a significant place among gifted people is assigned to a simple peasant, that is, a man from the people.

The surrounding rich nature endowed him with extraordinary abilities. The edge showed all its beauty, as well as the woes that such a learned person might be able to alleviate. Native Russia has planted in his heart good and nobility.

Therefore people from the people are strong not only in body, but also in loving soul. They surpass their inner content and even sometimes can not stand comparison with rich, but pompous and stupid people.

It is not worthless that nature,

Not yet lost that land,

What brings out so many glorious people and then know, –

So many kind, noble,

Strong loving soul,

In the middle of stupid, cold And pampered yourself!

Wealth brings only cold and humility. But a man of the people, armed with knowledge, will be able to change life for the better. This impression comes from the whole poem. But that such a person who is destined to live not only among the people, but also for the people, it is necessary to obtain the knowledge that a small schoolboy is striving for along a hard and long road of knowledge.

In the poem “Schoolboy” Nikolai Nekrasov vividly shows the image of a man who aspires to knowledge. And he aspires to them not only for their own benefit. A teenager will not only get an opportunity to learn much more about the world in which he lives, but also try to go further in the future. For example, go to university. The desire for such knowledge generates in the little man the great tenacity that he manifests in the pursuit of knowledge. He is going, perhaps, to another village where the school stands. His village is very small, and therefore there is no school there.

Others understand that the world requires an intelligent person, so the father gives the last money, only to have his son studied. Therefore, it is emphasized that the boy is from the people. And this speaks of his perseverance and great desire for knowledge. He believes that it is such a person who has gone through all the hardships and deprivations of peasant life will be able to help with the help of his knowledge to that people, from which he himself left in due time. He, having lived half the life among the destitute and having understood by learning that an entirely different life is possible, will be able to try to correct it. The desire for knowledge and perseverance becomes a striking feature of the character of a teenager from the people, described in this poem by Nikolai Nekrasov.
