Donkey skin A
poetic fairy tale begins with a description of the happy life of the brilliant king, his beautiful and faithful wife and their adorable little daughter. They lived in a magnificent palace, in a rich and flourishing country. In the royal stables next to the fast horses, “a well-fed donkey hung out his ears peacefully.” “The Lord gave him such a fit in the womb that if he at times and withered, so gold and silver.”
But “in the prime of the magnificent years, the wife of the ruler is suddenly afflicted with an ailment.” When she dies, she asks her husband “to go back to the crown only with the chosen one, that at last she will be more beautiful and worthy.” The husband “swore to her through the river tears of the mad in all that she was waiting for… Among the widowers he was one of the noisiest!”

So he cried and sobbed… “However,” not a year has passed since the speech about matchmaking goes shameless. ” But the deceased is surpassed by beauty only by her own daughter, and the father, having inflamed with criminal passion, decides to marry the princess. She is desperate to go to her godmother – a good fairy, who lives “in the wilderness of forests, in cave haze, between shells, corals, mother-of-pearl.” To upset the terrible wedding, the godfather advises the girl to demand from his father a wedding dress of a shade of clear days. ” The tricky task is in no way feasible. “But the king of the tailors called the masters and ordered them from the high throne armchairs so that by tomorrow they could get the gift, otherwise he would hang them, by the hour!” And in the morning they carry “wonderful tailors” Then the fairy advises the goddaughter to demand silk “lunar, unusual – he can not get it.” The king is calling for the gold candlestick – and four days later the dress is ready. “The princess almost admires her
father, but,” urged by the godmother, “asks for a” wonderful solar flowers. “The king threatens the jeweler with terrible tortures – and less he creates “porphyry from porphyry” in a week. “” What an unprecedented new thing! “the fairy whispers scornfully and orders the king to ask for the skin of a precious donkey, but the king’s passion is more stingy-and the princess immediately brings the skin. Here, “the cross godly found that in the ways of good disgust is out of place,” and on the advice of the fairy the princess promises the king to marry him, and she herself, throwing on her shoulders a hideous hide and smearing her face with soot, runs from the palace. Wonderful dresses the girl puts in the casket. The fairy gives the goddaughter a magic twig: “As long as it is in your hand, the casket will crawl after you in the distance, like a mole hiding under the earth.”
The royal messengers are in vain looking for a fugitive throughout the country. The courtiers are in despair: “no wedding, so no feasts, no cakes, so no cakes… Chaplain more and more upset: he did not have a snack in the morning and said good-bye to the marriage.”
And the princess, dressed as a beggar, wanders along the road, looking for “at least the place of a birdwoman, even a swineherd even, but the beggars themselves spit after them.” Finally the unfortunate takes the servants of the farmer – “pig stalls to clean da rags and grease washed.” Now in the closet behind the kitchen – the courtyard of the princess. ” Nahals rural and “peasant nasty bother her,” and even mock the poor thing. Only her joy that, locked up on Sunday in her closet, washed, dressed in one or another wonderful dress and turned in front of a mirror. “Oh, the moonlight slightly pale her, and the sunny little fills… All is better than a blue dress!”
And in these parts “the glittering birdy court was kept by the king of the magnificent and all-powerful.” In this park often visited the prince with a crowd of courtiers. “The Princess has already fallen in love with him.” Ah, if only he loved girls in donkey skin! sighed the beauty. And the prince – “a heroic look, fighting martial” – somehow came across at dawn on a poor hut and saw in a crack the beautiful princess in a marvelous outfit. Struck by her noble appearance, the young man did not dare to enter the shack, but when he returned to the palace, he “did not eat, did not drink, did not dance, he cooled to hunting, opera, fun and girlfriends” – and thought only of the mysterious beauty. He was told that in a shabby hut there lived a dirty beggar, Donkey’s Skin. The prince does not believe. “He weeps bitterly, he cries” – and demands that the Donkey’s Skin bake him a pie. A loving mother queen does not contradict her son, and the princess, “hearing these news,” hastens to knead the dough. “They say: working extraordinarily, she… quite by accident,” she dropped the perch in the gum. ” But “my opinion – there was a calculation of it.” She had seen the prince looking at her in the crack!
After receiving the cake, the patient “devoured him with such a greedy passion that, rightly, it seems lucky that he did not swallow the ring.” Since the young man in those days “lost weight terribly… doctors decided unanimously: the prince dies of love.” Everyone begs him to marry – but he agrees to take as his wife only one that can put a finger on a finger with an emerald. All the girls and widows are taking thinner fingers.
However, no noblemen, no nice grisettes, no cooks and farm laborers, the ring did not fit. But here “from under the donkey’s skin came a cam, a lily similar.” Laughter ceases. Everyone is shocked. The princess goes to change clothes – and an hour later appears in the palace, shining with dazzling beauty and luxurious attire. The king and the queen are satisfied, the prince is happy. The wedding is called by the rulers from all over the world. The princess’s princess, when she sees her daughter, weeps with joy. The prince is delighted: “what a lucky chance that a father-in-law with him is a ruler so powerful.” “A sudden thunder… The queen of fairies, the misfortunes of a past witness, descends his godchild forever to glorify virtue…”
Morality: “It is better to endure terrible suffering than honor’s duty to change.” After all, “with the crust of bread and water, youth can be quenched, while it keeps the attire in the box of gold.”
Bluebeard
Once upon a time there lived a very rich man who had a blue beard. She so disfigured him that, seeing this man, all the women ran in fear. His neighbor, a noble lady, had two daughters of marvelous beauty. He asked to marry any of these girls. But none of them wanted to have a wife with a blue beard. Nor did he like the fact that this man had already been married several times and no one knew what fate had befallen his wives.
Bluebeard invited the girls, their mother, friends and girlfriends to one of their luxurious country houses, where they had fun for a week. And so the younger daughter began to feel that the beard of the owner of the house was not so blue, and he himself was a very respectable man. Soon the wedding was decided.
A month later, Bluebeard told his wife that he was leaving for six weeks. He asked her not to be bored, to have fun, to call her friends, gave her the keys to all the chambers, storerooms, caskets and chests – and forbade him to enter only one small room.
The wife promised to obey him, and he left. Immediately, without waiting for the messengers, ran up girlfriends. They were impatient to see all the riches of Bluebeard, but with it they came to be afraid. Now, admiring the house full of priceless treasures, the guests with envy extolled the happiness of the bride, but she could only think of a small room…
Finally the woman left the guests and rushed headlong down the secret ladder, almost turning her neck. Curiosity was overcome by fear – and the beautiful woman opened the door with trembling… In the dark room the floor was covered with gore, and on the walls hung the bodies of the former wives of Bluebeard, whom he had killed. Horrified, the bride dropped the key. Lifting him, she locked the door and, trembling, rushed to her room. There the woman noticed that the key was dirty with blood. The unfortunate person cleared away the stain for a long time, but the key was magic, and the blood, wiped off from one side, came out from the other…
That same evening Bluebeard returned. His wife met him with ostentatious delight. The next day he demanded the keys from the poor man. Her hands trembled so much that he immediately guessed everything and asked: “And where is the key from the small room?” After various excuses, I had to bring a stained key. “Why is he in the blood?” Asked Bluebeard. “Did you enter the small room?” “Well, madam, there you will now remain.”
The woman, sobbing, rushed to her husband’s feet. Beautiful and sad, she would have pityed even a stone, but Bluebeard’s heart was harder than stone. “Allow me at least to pray before my death,” the poor woman asked. “I give you seven minutes!” answered the villain. Left alone, the woman called her sister and said to her: “Sister Anna, see if my brothers are going? They promised to visit me today.” The girl climbed the tower and from time to time said unhappy: “Nothing to see, only the sun is on fire and the grass in the sun shines.” And Bluebeard, clutching a big knife in his hand, shouted: “Come here!” “Just a minute!” “answered the poor girl, and she kept asking Anna’s sister whether the brothers were visible. The girl noticed dust clouds in the distance – but it was a flock of sheep. At last she saw on the horizon two horsemen…
Then Bluebeard roared all over the house. A trembling wife came to him, and he grabbed her hair, already wanted to cut off her head, but at that instant a dragoon and musketeer rushed into the house. Snatching out their swords, they rushed to the villain. He tried to escape, but the beautiful brothers pierced him with steel blades.
The wife inherited all the riches of Bluebeard. She gave her sister’s dowry to Anna when she married a young nobleman who had long loved her; Each of the brothers, a young widow helped to achieve the rank of captain, and then married herself with a good man who helped her forget about the horrors of the first marriage.
Moral: “Yes, curiosity is a scourge. It confuses everyone, it’s born on mortal mortal”.
Rick with a tuft
One queen was born with such an ugly son that the courtiers for a long time doubted whether he was a man. But the good fairy assured me that he would be very intelligent and could give his mind to that person whom he loved. Indeed, when he had barely learned to babble, the child began to say good things. On his head was a small tuft, so the prince was nicknamed: Ricke with a tuft.
In seven years, the queen of the neighboring country gave birth to two daughters; seeing the first – beautiful, like a day – her mother was so happy that she almost became ill, the second girl was extremely ugly. But the same fairy predicted that the ugly woman would be very clever, and the beauty – stupid and awkward, but could impart the beauty of someone who she likes.
The girls grew up – and the beauty always had far less success than her clever sister. And one day in the forest, where the silly girl went to mourn her bitter share, the unfortunate met with the freak Rick. Falling in love with her for portraits, he came to the neighboring kingdom… The girl told Rika about her misfortune, and he said that if the princess decides to marry him in a year, she will immediately become wiser. Beauty foolishly agreed – and immediately spoke so witty and elegant that Ricke thought, did he give her more intelligence than he left to himself? ..
The girl returned to the palace, struck everyone with her mind and soon became the chief adviser to her father; all her admirers turned away from her ugly sister, and the glory of the beautiful and wise princess roared all around the world. A lot of princes wedded to the beauty, but she made fun of them all, until at last one rich, smart and intelligent prince appeared…
Walking through the woods and thinking about the choice of the groom, the girl suddenly heard a hollow noise under her feet. At the same instant, the earth opened up, and the princess saw people preparing a sumptuous feast. “This is for Rika, tomorrow his wedding,” – they explained to the beautiful woman. And then the shocked princess remembered that it was exactly one year since her meeting with the freak.
And soon Rike appeared in a magnificent wedding dress. However, the pondered princess flatly refused to marry such an ugly man. And then Ricke revealed to her that she could give her chosen one a beauty. The princess wished with all her heart that Ricke would become the most beautiful and kind prince in the world – and a miracle happened!
True, some argue that it’s not about magic, but about love. The princess, admiring the mind and faithfulness of her admirer, ceased to notice his disgrace. The hump began to give the prince’s bearing a special importance, the dreadful limp turned into a slight incline, the slanting eyes acquired fascinating languor, and the big red nose seemed mysterious and even heroic.
The king gladly agreed to give his daughter for such a wise prince, and on the next day they played a wedding, to which the clever Rika already had everything ready.
