(1932-1994)
Rozhdestvensky Robert Ivanovich (1932 – 1994), the poet.
He was born on June 20 in the village of Kosikha in the Altai Territory in the family of a serviceman. At the age of nine he was in an orphanage – his parents went to the front. After graduation, he entered Petrozavodsk University, where he began to write poetry (the first were printed in 1950). Leaves the university for the sake of the Literary Institute. M. Gorky (graduated in 1956).
During his studies at the Institute he published collections of poems “Flags of Spring” (1955) and “Test” (1956); He published the poem “My Love” (1955).
Then other poetic collections followed: “The Drifting Prospect” (1959); “Rovesniku” and “Uninhabited Islands” (1962); “The range of action” (1965); “Initiation” (1970); “For twenty years” (1973), etc.

In 1971 there is a book of travel essays “And the earth does not end.”
In the 1980s, a number of his poetry collections were published: “The Voice of the City,” “Seven Poems,” “The Choice,” “Poems, Ballads, Songs,” “Friends,” “Age,” etc.
In the 1990’s published collections of poems ” Insomnia “(1991),” Intersection “(1992), poems for children -” Aleshkin thought “(1991).
R. Rozhdestvensky died on March 20, 1994. After the death of the poet, the collection “The Last Poems of Robert Rozhdestvensky” was published.
