Summary “Winter Evening”

In front of me is a picture of the famous Russian landscape painter N. P. Krymov “Winter Evening.” On this canvas is a small village in winter. Looking at the picture, the viewer has a sense of peace, tranquility and warmth, despite the fact that the author painted the winter.
In the foreground of the landscape, the artist captured a frozen river. It is clean and transparent, the ice on it is smooth, snowless. On the shore of the pond, from the ice, islands of shallow water appear, and on the shore a shrub grows. Several small birds sat at the edge of the ice and on a bush. We can assume that the painting was painted by an artist from the opposite bank. At that moment he was on a hill.
In the background of the canvas, the painter painted a winter village. Behind it is painted a forest consisting of oaks or poplars. It is a dark mass stands out against the background of a light, greenish-yellow sky. It is low, clean. By its color, it can be assumed that the sunset

will be pink. Before the houses spreads a huge snowy space. The artist skillfully uses a color palette to convey various shades of snow: from the dark blue diagonal shadows to the purest white snow on the roofs of the houses. But in general, the entire snow mass seems tender-bluish. The village is one of the main objects of the canvas. This is a small group of buildings, drowned in dense drifts. In the windows of one of the houses there are sunspots. To the left, a little in the distance from residential buildings, you can see the dome of the bell tower. A barn adjoins one of the houses. Two carts of hay are sent to him.
The author uses in his work various shades of white for the image of snow. The turquoise color is colored ice on the river. The artist conveys the color of the evening sky with the help of light greenish and yellow tones.
I think the main feeling that the artist wanted to evoke from the viewer is a feeling of peace and tranquility. “Amazing next door!” – I could choose such an epigraph to the picture of N. P. Krymov. The artist admires the evening twilight. He wants to show how beautiful our Russian nature is! I really like his canvas and causes the warmest feelings.
