“Three sons were with the king.” – the so-called favorite “Frog princess” begins – the Russian folk tale. It tells how the king wanted to marry his sons and the arrows that they fired led to the brides. The oldest son got a merchant, the middle one – a priest, and the younger tsarevich had to marry a frog, for it was in the marsh the arrow of the younger tsar’s son flew away.
To test the daughter-in-law, the king came up with all sorts of tests: he had to sew a shirt, then bake cakes and even weave the carpet. Every time the priests of the priest-king were given only to the bride of the younger tsarevich, the frog. But the frog was not an easy swamp inhabitant. It was the enchanted Vasilisa the Wise, who every night turned into the one she really was – a beautiful girl.
At the end of all the tests, the enchanted frog also danced with a swan, so much that she conquered all with her dance. The younger Ivan Tsarevich did not rejoice in his fiancée, and, in order to save the bride from the curse, he burned her frog skin.
But if the prince had waited a little, the frog would have turned forever into a beautiful princess. And so he hurried and burnt the bewitched skin without asking. For this, he had to say goodbye to his spouse. She turned into a dove and was captivated by Koshchei the Immortal. In the mountain the king’s son rushed to seek his love, met many obstacles in his path, fought with Koshchei.
Here in short is what the fairy tale “The Frog Princess” is about. The purpose of this tale is to teach little listeners that they should not rush, and that in the end good always overcomes evil. Analysis of the tale “The Frog Princess” shows that it not only describes the strength that appears in a person when he loves. The philosophical meaning of the fairy tale was also revealed. It consists in the fact that if you fall in love with someone, even if it’s ugly, ugly, even like a frog, then he or she will become the most beautiful creature on earth, it only takes a little time to wait.
And the most important thing in this fairy tale is that if a person strongly desires something and does everything to achieve the desired, then no obstacles in his way can stop him. The evil forces personified by Koshcheev the Immortal could not prevent Ivan Tsarevich from releasing his beloved Frog Tsarina.
