Summary “Magic headboard”

In ancient times, a certain Taoist monk, the elder Lui, who comprehended the mystery of immortality, met at the inn with a boy named Lou. They began to talk, and the young man began to complain about his unfortunate fate: he studied for so many years, and everything vegetates without a great career. Then he began to sleep, and the elder offered him his head of green jade with holes at the sides. No sooner had the young man’s head bowed, as the lights dawned, the holes began to expand, and, entering inside, the young man found himself near his own house.

Soon he married, began to grow rich day by day, and then in the bureaucratic career succeeded. The emperor himself put forward him. Managing the province of Shen, Lu favored local farmers with an irrigation canal. Later he rose to the governor of the capital district.

There was a military unrest in the country. However, on the battlefield, Lu was fortunate and defeated the enemy. The emperor generously awarded him

with ranks and titles. However, envious people were not asleep. The Emperor was informed that Lu had planned treason, and his highest command was to imprison him. Luke regretted at that time about his youthful striving for service!

Many times he was trapped in the vicissitudes of his career, but every time he rose again, until he grew old. He decided to ask the tsar to resign himself, only he refused. Here, Lou died.

And at that very moment the young man woke up at the magic head. Now he knew the futility of his dreams, and wealth, loss and luck. The young man thanked the old man and with a bow withdrew.

Once Taoist monk Lui, who knew the miracle of immortality, met with a simple guy named Lou. He immediately complained to the old man that, having studied well for many years, he did not reach significant heights in the service. Telling, Lou began to understand that he really wants to fall asleep. Then the monk suggested that he bow his head to his green headboard of jade. The young man did so and fell asleep instantly. He saw holes that illuminated from within with a bright light.

The young man

boldly stepped in their direction and found himself near his house. Since that moment, only success and honors awaited him in the service, he was moving higher and higher up the career ladder, and the emperor himself had singled it out among other officials. First he successfully managed a small area, where he gave the order to build large irrigation canals and earned the reputation of a good ruler. Then Lou became governor of the capital district, his condition and influence increased every day.

After a while the country began a war, and Lou went to serve. On the battlefield, he again showed himself well and earned from the emperor an even higher new title, as well as honorary awards. However, with success in his life, envy came. Evil people made a lying deception on Lou, in which it was alleged that the young man was plotting to overthrow the emperor. So the young man was in prison. Then he first regretted that he had done so well in his service and had grown rich. Then Lou was acquitted and he managed to return to the service. He again began to climb the career ladder, but every time when life seemed successful and prosperous, he was betrayed.

For each of its upward rise followed a painful fall to the very bottom. Lu grew old and asked the emperor for his resignation, he hoped to find, then, peace. But he refused him in this request. It was at this moment that Lou woke up on the jade head, next to him was a monk Lew. Now Lou realized what price he would have to pay for wealth and a successful career. The young man sincerely thanked the wise old man and left.
