Petrov – Vodkin “Morning Still Life” composition

Kuzma Sergeevich Petrov-Vodkin wrote his landscape “Morning Still Life”; in 1918. The picture shows the usual breakfast of a summer resident. On a simple wooden table, not covered with a tablecloth, there is an uncomplicated glass vase with wildflowers. Flowers are pleasant yellow and purple flowers, they are very fresh. It seems that the person is about to return from an early morning walk, on which he tore off these flowers and immediately put them in a vase.
On the table is a small nickel-plated kettle, polished to a shine, the objects on the table are reflected in the kettle, as well as the red cat that has probably curled up on the lap of the owner. The lid of the kettle lies next to it, the summer resident has just made tea and has not had time to close the kettle with a lid. Next to the table is a glass with fresh tea.
The device is on an aluminum saucer, next to it is a teaspoon. Two more eggs lay on the table. Tea and boiled eggs – that’s

the whole meager breakfast of the summer resident. On the left in the picture are also a box of matches and a nickel-plated tube lying on the table. All items are well drawn by the artist. On the wooden table there are traces of dew, this creates a feeling of cool and fresh early morning.
In general, the whole picture, frankly, simple and simple, creates such a pleasant feeling that you experience after walking in the early morning through a field, a meadow, a forest, or just the streets of a village that begin their day; when the overflowing sensation of morning freshness and purity is returned to the wooden house and is taken for a simple meal that seems unusually delicious after a walk.
The artist did not depict a man in the picture, but his presence is felt. The dog of the brown color to the left of the table looks at him so faithfully. The whole picture is drawn in such a way that the viewer who looks at it is in the place of the person sitting in front of the table. The picture is full of purity, bright natural colors and peace. From her, she breathes peace and unity with nature, and from the contemplation of this masterpiece creates a sense of joy.
