Patience and a little effort

First of all it is necessary to be a good professional. This means that you need to work on the technique of drawing, always improving and honing your skills. Even if there is a favorite drawing technique, tools and plots, it’s worthwhile to spend some time working on another plan: to change brushes to pencils, classical manner to modern or surrealism, classes in the studio to open-air.

Communication with fellow craftsmen also contributes to development: a solo artist can be incredibly talented, but in order to learn the taste of success in life, one must know the fashion trends. Have the opportunity to compare their work not only with the geniuses of the past, but also with contemporaries. In addition, criticism of strangers will help pay attention to the shortcomings of their works. Praise and appreciation will give faith and strength to move on, even if at the beginning of the creative path not everything goes smoothly.

It is necessary to write from the heart. This means that the subjects and themes of the paintings should be liked, exciting, interesting to the artist himself. No matter how mystically it may sound, only the canvas, in which the artist’s soul is embedded, is able to exalt the audience’s delight. So do not “step on your throat own song” and write only what you pay for. Paintings written “for yourself,” will certainly find their connoisseur and buyer.
