My favorite writer is Alexander Ivanovich Kuprin. Reading his works, I do not get tired to marvel at his talent. Kuprin had a unique ability to create unusually lively, vivid images that the reader remembers for his entire life. Kuprin was an amazingly versatile person who throughout his life strove for knowledge, mastered and studied various sciences.

After retiring, the great Russian writer tried himself in dentistry, worked as a journalist, served in the church, moonlighted as a loader. Kuprin could not accept the Great October Revolution of 1917, and therefore he emigrated from the country. All twenty years that he lived abroad, the writer dreamed of returning to his homeland, he was worried about the fate of Russia and former fellow citizens. According to the memoirs of contemporaries, Alexander Ivanovich always looked at life optimistically, was energetic and cheerful. That’s how his works – they hit the key, amaze with their vigor and dynamism.

Most of Kuprin’s heroes are people with a very clean and kind soul, who hate the humiliation of others, striving for freedom and universal happiness. Almost all the characters of Kuprin’s works have a sharp sense of justice. One of my favorite heroes of the writer is Lieutenant Romashov – the main character of the story “Duel.” One of the main themes of the works of my favorite writer Kuprin was the theme of love.

Love, according to Kuprin, this feeling, which requires dedication, it is stronger and more important than anything else in the world. It is this love that we can see in the work of Kuprin “Olesya”. Her love is full of tragedy and sadness. The writer’s works are surprisingly sincere, honest. Probably, that’s why my favorite writer is Kuprin Alexander Ivanovich.
