Africa is the second largest continent in the world. She is called the favorite of the Sun. In fact, perennial snow and glaciers there can be seen only on the volcanic massif Kilimanjaro. The equator passes through the central part of the continent. Here, the Sun is close to the zenith for a year, rains every day. To the south and north of the equator, in the tropics, lie deserts, where precipitation does not fall for years. The sand heats up so that you can bake eggs in it.

About Africa you can talk about the mainland as “the most-most.” Here are found: the largest animal of the land is the African elephant, the tallest animal in the world, the giraffe, the champion in running among the animals – the cheetah, the largest bird on Earth – the African ostrich, the fastest snake of the African mamba,

It is Africa – the birthplace of such valuable crops as beets, onions, cabbage, watermelon, which spread throughout the world. Cocoa, coffee, citrus fruits, bananas, pineapples, growing on the African continent, are in demand in European countries, including Ukraine.

Recently, economic, trade and cultural ties between African countries and Ukraine are increasing.
