Essay on discipline

Every person in his life has repeatedly heard the word “discipline”. He is constantly spoken about in school, at work, in the army. However, not all correctly formed the concept of discipline and for what it is necessary in everyday life.

Consider what a discipline is, what it is needed for and what kinds of discipline exist.

What does the term “discipline” mean

The word “discipline” comes from the Latin word, which translates as “rigor, consistency.” This term means in the modern world certain rules of human behavior that have been adopted in the society where this person is located. Communities can be different – from army to work. Therefore, you can often hear about school, work or military discipline.

Discipline can be supported by punishing or encouraging a person. If a person does everything right and right, he is encouraged, penalties and punishments await the offender of the same discipline.

However,

you can establish discipline not only by other people in whose circle you are entering, but also by yourself, by creating a set of rules that you must follow to achieve goals. After all, the lack of discipline will not succeed with the task set.

Why do we need discipline?

Discipline is always needed precisely to achieve the goals and objectives that the organization, the community or just an individual put it. An undisciplined person is always ineffective and loses in any business to someone who is organized. After all, without discipline there is no order and consistency in action.

Discipline helps to remove all barriers to success, including weaknesses, fatigue, people’s resistance, unfavorable conditions, and so on. In fact, the discipline is structurally composed of:

Self-control. This is the tracking of their actions and, as a result, the removal of internal barriers like passivity and other negative emotions and processes in one’s own mind. Because of this, you can move forward, no matter what, removing internal contradictions;

Patience. Often on the way to

the goal can be very difficult and there will be various obstacles. It is necessary to be patient when performing tasks;

Timeliness – the fulfillment of the assigned tasks and goals precisely on time without delaying decisions and actions for later.

Regular discipline and willpower are formed by regular training and self-education.

Varieties of discipline

Discipline has many varieties and classifications, as this concept is widely used in many areas of human life. Discipline is divided into two general types:

The obligatory. This is a discipline established by the state for all state or other organizations, officials and citizens;

A special discipline is established only in a certain organization and applies only to employees of this organization.

Discipline is also

Military, which is controlled by the charter in the service and serves as the main document regulating the conduct of military personnel;

Labor, which is controlled by documents and bylaws at work in any organization. It establishes special rules for the conduct of people at work;

School, the rules and regulations of which are prescribed in the documents of the school or other educational institution. It serves to control the behavior of students so that they can learn new knowledge as much as possible;

Technological, which tells about compliance with the rules of operation of equipment, processes and the sequence of operations on equipment. Often the rules of fire safety also enter into it;

And other species established by a specific organization or community.

In addition, there is still a discipline of the internal and external

External discipline is observance of rules, regulations and customs with control from other people. Such a discipline is characteristic of military, labor and educational organizations, but internal discipline may exist;

Internal discipline is the control of one’s own rules of one’s own will without coercion and sanctions from outside from other people and organizations. This discipline is typical for athletes, successful businessmen and other people who, in order to achieve their goals, limit and control themselves.
