In October of this year, I was fortunate to visit the camp “Artek”. This amazing place is located on the Black Sea coast in the Crimea. The camp, seven kilometers long, was founded a long time ago and has its own laws, traditions and legends. Around him towering mountains, one of them bear-mountain Ayu-Dag, according to legend, protects the whole “Artek” and our camp “Amber”. Unforgettable emotions gave us not only the amazing beauty of the nature of the camp, but also the activities that took place there.
Our shift was dedicated to the 170th anniversary of the Russian Geographical Society. We plunged into the wonderful world of geography, visited Sevastopol and many museums, gained new knowledge and... a lot of emotions. We also received knowledge at the camp school.
In addition, the camp hosted events in which we showed creativity, danced, sang. I was very lucky with the detachment and the leaders, who were all different, but everyone could talk about everything. There were a lot of massages in the camp, on which we could dance and take our mind off the shift program. In hot weather we went to the sea, sunbathing and swimming. To all the children “Amber” and “Artek” itself became a big house, and his squad and counselors are a big family. I will really miss this place, the detachment and our beloved counselor. I will proudly bear the name “Artek”.
