Biography of Oleg Yankovsky


Oleg Ivanovich Yankovsky is an outstanding actor of theater and cinema, People’s Artist of the USSR, director.

Oleg was born in Dzhezkazgan in a military family. Oleg’s childhood was poor, but no less joyful: he played football, and nothing predicted future great fame as an actor. Then the family moved to Saratov, and in 1958 Oleg settled with his brother in Minsk. The desire to connect his fate with acting in the biography of Oleg Yankovsky came from his brother: he was also an actor. He also contributed to Oleg’s debut on the stage in school days.

Oleg received his education in Saratov, where he graduated from the theater school in 1965. In the same year he began to play in the dramatic theater of Saratov. I married Lyudmila Zorina during my studies.

In 2000, in the biography of Jankowski, there was a directorial debut. The actor has many orders and awards, in 1991 he received the title of People’s Artist of the USSR.

In January 2009, Yankovsky’s physical condition deteriorated. He temporarily transferred some of his roles in the “Lenkom” doubles. Disease Jankowski was treated in Germany, and in early February 2009 again returned to Moscow. The great actor appeared on stage in the role of Zhevyakin and continues to please the fans.
