Biography of Harutyun Hakobyan
Harutyun A. Hakobyan – artist, magician, was born on April 26, 1918 in Yerevan.
At the beginning of the biography of Harutyun Hakobyan, a choreographic education was received at the local school. Then, thanks to the will of his father, he leaves the dance ensemble for training in a construction technical school. The next stage in the life of Hakobyan was also not connected with the stage: he entered the land management institute in Moscow.
Once, while studying, when he saw the performance of the magician, Hakobyan caught fire by learning this skill. Necessary requisites were made by himself, analyzed the performances of artists for the knowledge of secrets, and spent his first shows in his native hostel.
Hakobyan sharpened his art even more when he visited the amateur group. Approximately at the same time, the first serious statements in the biography of Hakobyan began.
After graduating from the institute, he devoted himself completely to tricks, becoming a real professional. The next level of development, when on the stage the magician had a minimum of objects, demanded from Hakobyan the high skill of the technique of hands. So he spent a lot of time in training.
In 1950, in the biography of Harutyun Hmayakovich Hakobyan received the title of Honored Artist, and eleven years later – People’s Artist.
