Early years

Actor, director, screenwriter and producer Vin Diesel, whose real name is Mark Vincent, was born in New York on July 18, 1967. Mark Vincent and his twin brother Paul raised a mother, Delora, and stepfather, Irving H. Vincent. Biological father Wine broke up with his mother before the birth of his sons. Not too wordy when it comes to his family, Diesel, however, willingly talks about his early passion for theatrical art. His stepfather taught acting, and at the age of seven Diesel first appeared on the stage of the “Theater of the City of New York.” “I was always firmly convinced that I would become a star of cinema, I knew it as a child,” he tells magazine “Entertainment Weekly”.

All his youthful years Diesel continues to take part in theatrical productions. At the same time, he gets

into the club bouncer. It also helps him to acquire that hardening, which will become a calling card in all his future films. In an interview with Men’s Fitness magazine, he says: “I have at least five hundred fights in my account, I fought every night, and I worked as a bouncer for years 9 or 10. And these were far from fair fights.” Such night work left Diesel with days off for theatrical auditions and learning English at New York’s Hunter College. His experience of bouncers Diesel uses to create the role of an actor-fighter in his first cinematographic project. With this project and begins his serious career.

Cinematographic career

Completely few before completing his studies, Diesel throws college for the filming of his first film, “Many Faces.” In this short film about the actor, willing to play the role of a man of any nationality in order to get a job, Diesel appeared as a screenwriter, producer, director and an expert in the selection of actors. The public takes the film well, and in 1995 it was shown at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival. This work draws the

attention of the famous film director Steven Spielberg, who at that time begins work on his tape about World War II “Saving Private Ryan.” Especially for Diesel, Spielberg introduces a characteristic role in the film. The tape goes to the screens, and Vin gets a high fee. In 2000, he appears in a brilliant role in the “Black Hole” – the film, which was seen only thanks to Diesel. The hero of Wine, Richard B. Riddick, appears in the subsequent films of the series: “The Chronicles of Riddick” and “Riddick.”

Playing in the tape “Boiler” with Ben Affleck and Giovanni Ribisi, Diesel shows the talent of a serious dramatic actor. Very soon, in 2001, he begins work in the most famous franchise film world “Fast and the Furious”. In this film, Diesel gets the role of dubious fame street racing Dominique Toretto, who is under construction by the police under cover. The talent of Vin Diesel as the star of militants is finally confirmed by the main role in the tape “XXX”.

Wishing to expand the boundaries of his image, in 2005 Diesel is removed in the comedy “Bald Nanny: Special Project”. For the sake of filming in the movie “Recognize me as guilty,” where Diesel plays the role of a bandit defending himself in court, he surrenders his impeccable physical form. However, soon he returns to the image of a strong guy who brought him fame, taking off in subsequent parts of the franchise, including “Fast and the Furious”, “Forsage-5”, “Fast and the Furious.”

The shooting of the next film of the series was overshadowed by the tragedy: in a car accident, his friend and partner on the set, Paul Walker, perishes. In 2014, Vin Diesel’s voice was spoken by the hero of the science-fiction adventure bestseller “Guardians of the Galaxy” Grut. At this time, work continues on the film “The Last Witch Hunter”, in which Diesel is removed along with Elijah Wood and Michael Kane.
